Hi everyone!

I hope everyones July is off to a great start!

About a year or so ago, I had a YouTube channel that I posted on off and on. Long story short, I decided to create a new one (connected to my blog) and will be posting all about health, fitness and lifestyle!

For my first video, I asked you all to send in some questions on my Instagram and answered them so you could get to know me a little bit better!

Let me know… what’s YOUR favorite food to eat out too!?

Happy Friday! hope you all had a great holiday last week.

Chances are, you had a fun-filled weekend with food, friends and family…. as all holidays should be!

If you indulged a little this weekend (or after any weekend, holiday or special event) don't worry! Here's what to follow up with this week...

One weekend of indulging is not going to hinder your progress in your health and fitness journey.

In fact, you probably made AMAZING memories that you will remember for years to come.

Being upset with what happened over the weekend isn't going to change anything.

Now that we've covered that, let's look at what to do this week.

1) Think of all the positive memories you made over the weekend!

Make a list of the fun things you did. In case you do find yourself getting upset, this will help focus on the positive.

2) Don't over exercise.

It won't do you any good in the long run. If you have a workout planned... great, go for it! But don't feel the need to add in any extra exercise or cardio. Exercise should not be used as a punishment for food!

3) Don't cut your calories to make up for the weekend.

Just get right back on track. If you count calories or macros, stick with your regular numbers. Cutting extra will just put you in a restricting/indulging or yo-yo dieting cycle. Our bodies are smart, so keep feeding it what it needs!

4) Remember: Memories > macros

Holidays, birthdays, wedding and other events are a cause for CELEBRATION! Do just that… and then just get right back on track.

Here in Minnesota, it is finally summer and the sun is HERE!

I don’t know about you guys, but I seriously thought summer would never come here!

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that every season I curate a new playlist on Spotify with all my favorite workouts hits! Today, I wanted to share that with you and highlight some of my favorites as well.

  • Only Human- The Jonas Brothers - Does anyone else feel like they’re in middle school again with the new Jonas Brothers album!? Because I sure do! This whole album is incredible and I highly recommend you listen, even just for nostalgic purposes.

  • Never Really Over- Katy Perry- I’ll be honest… I am not a huge fan of Katy Perry, but every once in a while she comes out with a banger and this is one.

  • Truth Hurts- Lizzo- Lizzo is currently my obsession, so if she is yours too, check out this playlist! Not only does she promote self confidence, body positivity and have some amazing hit songs, but she is also originally from Minnesota!

  • I Don’t Belong in This Club- Why Don’t We, Macklemore- Honestly this song just speaks to me. Every time I listen I get a good laugh because this is truly how I feel if I go out at night. Give it a listen and let me know if you agree!

  • Not OK- Kygo, Chelsea Cutler- I feel like any song Kygo puts out is usually a hit in my book, and this song is no exception! There are great beat drops, which makes this song perfect for a sweaty workout.

  • I Don’t Care- Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber- This song is just TOO. DANG. CATCHY. I feel like Ed Sheeran and the Biebs should just make an entire album together like this. I’d buy it!

  • Be Nice- Black Eyed Peas, Snoop Dogg- This song has stemmed from one of my new favorite shows, Songland. Although I enjoy the original song that Adam Friedman presented on the show, this is still pretty good. I also love the music video—- it’s so fun and just gives me a smile! Anyone else watch the show too? Let me know!

  • Walk Me Home- P!nk- The first time I heard this song on the radio I was a bit confused about why they were playing a country song on the pop station I was listening too… until I realized it was P!nk! I absolutely love this song and find myself singing out loud to it every time I hear it!

  • Nightmare- Halsey- Another amazing song with a powerful message as well. Take a listen to the lyrics and tell me you don’t feel something,

What songs are you enjoying right now? Be sure to let me know! You never know— they might end up on my playlist this summer!

Be sure to follow me on Spotify here to stay up to date on each season’s playlist!
